No on AB727 Legislative Hearing - Sac Capitol

  • State Capitol 1021 O Street Sacramento, CA, 95814 United States (map)

No on AB727 Capitol Hearing July 9th @ 9am 1021 O St. Room 2100 Sacramento

This bill will mandate every high school provide a phone number for "The Trevor Project" which will then send you a link for their website that is available for 13-24 year-olds with no age verification.

Signing up for an account provides children with secret chats where adults can contact any member in the group, share private pictures & messages. The website teaches children how to exit and hide the website from parents.

This is unsafe for children from all demographics!

More info: AB727 is scheduled to be heard July 9th at the Capitol in Senate Education. The Trevor Project has been linked to dangerous and predatory behavior targeting our kids, the State of California should not be contracting with and mandating schools to provide this organization information. California currently mandates the 988 number, this bill is unnecessary and dangerous.

Contact your senator and the committee members. “Hello my name is ___ and I am opposed to AB727”
